Sadly, Coulson didn't actually get to see the Avengers come together, because he was stabbed through the chest by Loki. He got to meet the superheroes who would later become the Avengers, including the one he grew up idolizing, Captain America. With his debut in 2008's Iron Man, Agent Coulson became the glue of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, alongside Samuel L. But just how many times has the dedicated agent died?
